Nothing beats warm sunshine and Palm trees in the middle of the winter....Christmas 2014 was one to remember. Luckily, we were able to go to San Diego to spend the holidays with my family as well as got to visit some of Bruce's family that he has in Cali. In all the craziness and chaos I have really been blessed with some truly remarkable people in my life that I get the opportunity to call my family. We drove from Oregon to San Diego---straight through which took around 20 hours. Seriously probably my worst idea of 2014 lol. Christmas Eve was spent with my mom && she threw an amazing dinner party. If you know my mom then you know she likes to throw down in the kitchen.
Karaoke, ugly sweater contest, & even had Santa visit for Marley lol (spoiled). And in true Nana fashion she bought my girls WAY too many things.
I had to end up sending a giant box of things home because there was no way everything was fitting in the Tahoe. The next day we went to my dads, spent Christmas relaxing and eating the most yum turkey ever in between some serious napping. Legoland and a big family dinner to celebrate Christmas the day after.
All the years I've lived in California and it was the first time I've ever been to Legoland. I probably had just as much fun as the girls lol. May have also ditched Marley to ride on some rides she was too small for. See: Big kid at heart. lol Oops.
Legoland also had the cutest aquarium. ^Someone was happy to see the fish.
Marley would have sat in the water with the starfish if it was up to her. Also, notice the 20.00 face paint -_- The things we do to put a smile on our children's face right? Note to self: bring own face paint next time.
Uncle Shiloh and baby Reese meeting for the first time :) So happy to see him after being away in Germany in the Army for the past few years!
Goodbyes are always the hardest part of vacation....but we'll always cherish all the memories we had this Christmas and all the moments that will last a lifetime :) One word to describe our first Christmas as a family of four: Unforgettable.
